The skidding system is designed for permanent installation onboard the vessel. Steel skidding beams provide a rails for the Skidding pallet which transfers WROV or OBSROV to required position in the vessel. Part of the system is often a moonpool hatch which has skidding beams and allows transfer of the loaded skidding pallet in the ship aft, portside and starboard direction of the vessel over the moonpool.
