Our factory is located in Gamlem, at the heart of a world-leading maritime cluster on the west coast of Norway. Our skillful engineers and talented designers develop groundbreaking products in close cooperation with our customers. And our passion is to contribute to sustainable thinking – and greener shipping. For those who don’t know us that well yet, the Ulmatec business area Thermal Solutions comprises the company Ulmatec Pyro.

Waste heat energy has a significant value

Surplus heat or waste heat onboard a ship has a high value. For internal combustion engines, thermal loss is significant and results in a low utilization of the fuel (40-45%). With our solutions for heat recovery and distribution on board ships, up to 70% of the fuel’s energy can be utilized. Our intelligent and automated central heating and heat recovery system is a proven solution for a wide range of ship types, and will ensure that the energy balance is always optimized. The result for ship owners: reduced OPEX, lower emissions and very short payback.
